2 Tbss unsalted butter
3/4 lb pearl onions, peeled
2 Tbsp sugar
6 Tbsps unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves minced
1 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts
salt/pepper
2 lb green beans cooked in salted boiling water till tender crip

Heat 2 Tbsps butter in saute pan, when hot and foamy add the onion, cook until tender, add sugar and continue to cook until deep golden brown. Transer to bowl.

Place the remaining butter in saute pan, add garlic and saute 1 minute. Add hazelnuts, saute 1 minute, add onions and green beans. Toss anseason well. Transfer to plater, serve warm.
