1/4 cup green onions finely chopped
1/2 tsp pickling salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1/2 finely chopped parsley
2 tsp chopped fresh oregano or 1/4 tsp dried
1 tbsp chopped fresh basil or 1/4 tsp dried
1 cup unsalted butter softened
9 (7 inch) pita bread, each pita cut into eighths

Combine green onions, salt, pepper, parsley, oregano and basil. Mix into the butter. Taste for seasonings. Spread each pita piece with herb butter and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 5-10 minutes or until golden and crispy. Cool before serving.
