1. Preheat oven to 425. Roll out top and bottom crusts. Line pie pan with bottom crust.
2. Combine all ingredients excep apples, butter and lemon juice.
3. Place half of the apples in the line plate, sprinkle with 1/2 the sugar mixture and 1/2 of the lemon juice.
4. Top with the rest of the apples, heaping them in the center. Add remaining sugar and lemon juice.
5. Assemble top crust, cut slits, brush with milk or water, sprinkle with sugar.
6. Bake at 425 for 40-50 minutes or until filling is tender and crust is golden brown. |
