Bake entire cake so it has time to cool.
While its cooling make the pudding mixes and chill 10 minutes or so. While cake/pudding are cooling, crumble the candy bars into small pieces. When pudding is cool, take one bowl of pudding and mix with 1 tub of cool whip. Use and electric mixer to get it light and fluffy. Using a bowl that is round and deep we will now assemble. Cut the cake sideways or in chunks (you should have enough for 4 layers) and place a layer on the bottom (make sure bowl is covered). Pour on some Kahlua (not use more on the upper layers as it will settle).Put a layer of whip cream, layer of mousse, sprinkle some candy (and nuts if using) and repeat the layering (cake, kahlua, whip cream, mousse, candy). I usually go three layers and use what's left over for a mini trifle. The top layer should be whip cream or mousse with the candy sprinkled on top. |
