1 Tablespoon of Gherkins, chopped
2 1/2 TBSP Creme Fraiche
10 TBSP Mayonnaise
3/4 Shallot Diced
Lemon Juice (about 1 Teaspoon)
Hot Sauce (Optional)

Add all Tartar ingredients together and mix. Add salt to taste and hot sauce if you want heat.

The creme fraiche lightens and makes the sauce more velvetty.
