skinless salmon piece (large piece)
the following is for about a 4lb piece, adjust as needed based on size of salmon piece
1 Tbsp. rosemary
2 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 Tbsp. thyme
1 Tbsp. parsley
1/2 Tbsp. onion powder
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
Tbsp. creole seasoning
1/2 Tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. old Bay seasoning
1 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
salt to taste
1/4 Ground black pepper
1 stick unsalted butter
3 lemon sliced

finely chop the herbs
Melt the butter in the microwave and add all but the lemon and stir to incorporate (if its to thick add a little olive oil)
Pat the fish dry square up the thinner edges and slice the large portion into 3 equal with strips
braid the strips, cover with the marinade in a dish and let set for 30 minutes-1 hour
To cook there are 3 ways you can do it
Oven
In an oven dish, place down lemon slices, and the fish, insert some lemon slices in the top braid, and cook for 20-25 minutes at 350

Grill Plank Method,
On the plank layer the lemon slice sand the fish, tuck some lemon slices in the top braid and grill till done (about 15-30 minutes depending on thickness of the salmon)

Grill/smoke method
in a cooking grate layer the lemon slices and the fish, tuck some lemon slices in top of the braid
Smoke/Grill till done as desired and temp being used (if you are at 350 timings will be the same as the oven)
on a cedar plank/cooking grid, layer lemon slices
