Bring water to boil, add walnuts and allow boil to return. Cook 1 minute.
Remove nuts, rinse under hot water and allow to drain.
Put wet nutes in lager bowl with sugar and mix until sugar is dissolved.
Heat oil to 350, fry nuts in batches until golden, dont overfry (<5 mins).
Drian on paper plates, salt to taste. Stir nuts frequently while cooling so they don't stick. |
