| 1 1/3 sifted Confectioners sugar 1/4 c. shortening 1/4 c. milk 3 squares unsweetened chocolate 1 tsp. vanilla 1 whole egg | |
| Blend shortening, sugar, milk, chocolate and vanilla in a bowl. Add the egg and beat just until smooth. Place bowl in ice water and stir until frosting is thick enough to spread. If frosting is too thick, place the bowl in hot water. | |
