Ingredients
7650ml Grain Alcohol (US 2 Gallons)
1 1/2L Water (US 6 Cups)
1 1/2lb Sugar (US 3 cups dry)
12-15 lemons, 10-12 oranges, 12-15 tangerines or fruit of choice
Fruit should be not quite ripe and in peak season, you are using the rinds for the oils.
Method
Rind the fruit, using a potato peeler. You just want the rind, not the white.
Combine the rind and grain alcohol in sealed glass jars for 10 days. Shake once daily.
After 10 days mix the water and sugar and simmer on stove till sugar is dissolved. Remove and let cool.
Once cooled strain the alcohol and rinds into the sugar water. Stir and bottle.
Most important ingredient... A touch of love!
